1. Agreement to Terms

By using this website or booking services with Window Blinds Ottawa, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services. Your written quote and order confirmation also form part of our agreement and take priority if anything conflicts.

2. Our Services

Window Blinds Ottawa measures, supplies and installs window coverings in Ottawa and the National Capital Region, including:

We also offer blind repair and restringing, motorization retrofits of existing blinds, and rush delivery.

3. Free Consultation and $150 Credit

The in-home measurement and design consultation is free and comes with a $150 credit toward a purchase. The credit applies to orders placed from the quote prepared at that consultation, has no cash value and cannot be combined with other credits unless stated in writing.

4. Quotes and Pricing

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Ranges published on this website are per window, installed, and are a guide. Your final price is set by the itemised written quote prepared after the in-home measurement. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are added at invoicing.

5. Orders, Deposits and Payment

Custom products are manufactured to your measured sizes. A deposit is required to place an order, with the balance due on completion of installation. Payment terms and accepted methods are confirmed on your quote.

6. Changes and Cancellations

You may change or cancel an order without charge before it is placed with the manufacturer. Because custom blinds are made to your exact windows, orders cannot be cancelled once manufacturing has started, and the deposit may be applied to costs already incurred. Please give at least 48 hours' notice to reschedule a measurement or installation appointment.

7. Lead Times

Standard custom orders take about 4 weeks from measurement to installation. Rush delivery of about 2 weeks is available for an upcharge on many products. Lead times are estimates and can be affected by manufacturer delays outside our control. We will keep you informed of any change.

8. Workmanship Warranty

Every installation carries our written 2-year workmanship warranty, which covers the installation work we perform (for example brackets, mounting and alignment). Product warranties are provided by each manufacturer and vary by product line. We give you the exact manufacturer terms for your order in writing with your quote. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, accidents, pets, unauthorized repairs or normal wear.

9. Access to Your Property

You agree to provide safe access to the windows on the agreed date, including clearing furniture and fragile items from the work area where possible. You confirm that you are the homeowner or are authorized by the owner to approve the work. For condos and commercial buildings, you are responsible for any building approvals unless we agree otherwise in writing.

10. Insurance and Liability

Our crews are WSIB registered and we carry $2M commercial general liability insurance. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the affected products and installation. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Website Content

Content on this site, including text, layouts and graphics, belongs to Window Blinds Ottawa or its licensors. Brand names such as Hunter Douglas, Levolor, Graber, Shade-O-Matic and Lutron are trademarks of their respective owners. The cost estimator provides estimates only and is not an offer.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in effect on the date of your quote applies to your order.
