Our 6,000 sq ft showroom with 400+ samples is here, which makes Centrepointe, Bells Corners, Craig Henry, Woodroffe and Merivale the quickest neighbourhoods we serve. You can walk in on a Saturday, open and close working Hunter Douglas, Levolor and Graber displays, then have a measurer at your house early the next week. Every window is measured in-home to the sixteenth of an inch, and every price range is published in CAD. This is also where stock and custom meet. Standard-size stock blinds from 24 to 72 inches can be picked up the same week, and custom orders for the odd windows ship to the same address about 4 weeks later. - ✓ Home of our 6,000 sq ft showroom - ✓ 18Y NCR Experience - ✓ Hunter Douglas Certified - ✓ $2M CGL + WSIB Cleared Book Free In-Home Measure [#quote →](#quote) (613) 702-3022 [tel:+16137023022 →](tel:+16137023022) ![Nepean window covering showroom with working displays of zebra, roller, cellular and wood blinds](/images/misc/inside-a-large-window-covering-showroom-in-nepean-.webp) Local response time In-home consultation within 48 hours; showroom pickups same week - 18 Years in the NCR - 7,500+ Homes Installed - Hunter Douglas Certified Priority Dealer - 5-Star Customer Satisfaction - Written 2-Year Warranty What We Hear on Local Measures ## Window Blind Problems We Fix Across Nepean ### Stock blinds that miss on Bells Corners and Craig Henry windows Off-the-shelf blinds leave a bright strip down each side of the glass, or rub the frame and stick halfway down. **Why it happens here:** The urban area here grew out in the 1950s and 1960s, and after six decades of settling, these openings are rarely square or a standard width. **How we fix it:** We measure top, middle and bottom in-home and order custom blinds to the tightest width, and still sell showroom stock for the windows that are true. 1 ### Light gaps at the edges Blinds cut to the nearest inch leave a bright stripe down each side at 7am. A blind made to the sixteenth closes edge to edge. 2 ### Cold glass in January The cold spot by the sofa is usually the window chilling the air. A double-cell cellular shade traps air at the glass. 3 ### Yellowed, warped slats Summer UV breaks down builder-grade vinyl on south and west windows. Bowed, yellow slats will not recover. 4 ### Frayed or looped cords Older corded blinds do not meet Canadian cord rules and wear out at the lift. Cordless fixes both. Most Requested Here ## Blinds and Shades Our Showroom Sells Most These four make up most of our orders in the area. All 18 blind, shade and shutter types are available, measured in-home and installed by our own crew. ![Custom shade fitted to an arched window in a Rockcliffe Park heritage home](/images/misc/custom-fitted-shade-on-an-arched-window-above-a-fr.webp) [/custom-blinds/ →](/custom-blinds/) ### Custom Blinds Ottawa [/custom-blinds/ →](/custom-blinds/) $450-$3,500 / window Made-to-measure blinds for oversized, arched and specialty windows, in hardwood species and bespoke colours. Most homes are 5 to 15 minutes from the door via Baseline Road, Merivale Road or Woodroffe Avenue, and install trucks are often on site before 8:30. If you would rather see everything first, come in. We keep working displays of zebra, roller, cellular, roman, wood and shutters, plus motorized demos you can run from a phone. Bring a photo and rough sizes of your windows and we can narrow the choices before the in-home visit. Students and staff renting near Algonquin College often pick up stock blinds the same day. ### Split-Levels, Townhomes and Condos We Know Well The urban area here spread into former farmland in the 1950s and 1960s, and Bells Corners and Craig Henry are full of bungalows and split-levels from that wave. Those houses have half-height basement windows, shallow recesses and the occasional bay off the living room. Mini blinds or cellular shades fit the shallow windows, and bays get templated at every angle so the headrails meet cleanly in the corners. Centrepointe was built from 1984 onward: roughly 1,000 detached homes, with the rest mostly townhomes and terrace homes around Ben Franklin Place. Patio doors and wide living room windows are the usual pain points there. Merivale Road and the Hunt Club end bring condo work, where boards sometimes require a specific exterior-facing colour, so we check the rules with you before the quote. Faux wood is a favourite in these split-levels because it handles kitchen and bathroom humidity, and it can be matched to the white trim that most of the houses still have. ### Sixty-Year-Old Windows and Minus-Ten Januaries Many homes here still have original or 1990s replacement windows, and Ottawa January days average -10°C. Cellular shades trap air at the glass, and clients in Craig Henry and Bells Corners tell us the rooms feel warmer by midwinter. In summer, the mature trees on these streets help, but west-facing rooms still get hot. Light-filtering rollers or zebras are the usual fix.
